Your words can determine your future, so choose them wisely

Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything. Pr13:3. Our words can set our destiny and the destiny of others. We can’t control what happens to us, but what we say or do next is totally in our control. The way we deal with a situation can defuse or inflame it based on our words. If we can master our tongue we wont be a slave to our words. We must learn to control our emotions and avoid letting out a knee jerk reaction, as once we have said it, its very hard to take it back. Its OK to pause and reflect before you respond. Master this and your life will be much more peaceful and prosperous as you learn to speak with wisdom and not just emotion. Your words will also shape the lives of others so always encourage and build up rather than criticise and tear down. Praise God today that He will give us whatever wisdom we need when we ask and as we keep close to Him.
