Whoever learns from correction is wise

Only a fool despises a parent’s discipline; whoever learns from correction is wise. Pr15:5. Correction is about direction. Discipline given with a caring heart will help direct focus onto the appropriate course of action. Life is the cruellest teacher of all, that will take everything from you if you don’t stop living the wrong lifestyle. The wisest people learn from the mistakes of others or from correction when received, only a fool rejects correction or discipline. The saddest people of all are those who live an undisciplined lifestyle that usually starts by rejecting discipline from a young age or the failure to receive correction when it was possible. This often leads to stubbornness and the inability to see things from another’s perspective. Praise God today that He has given us His word to correct our ways, and to guide us in our relationships and in raising children to live the best life possible.
