There’s power in your words, so use them wisely
We can make a large horse go wherever we want by means of a small bit in its mouth. And a small rudder makes a huge ship turn wherever the pilot chooses to go, even though the winds are strong. In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. Jm 3:3-5. There is power in our words. Our words can build up or tear down. A gentle word can diffuse an awkward situation, whilst a harsh word can make things worse. The words we speak over ourselves and others can effect the future. Words of encouragement will create perseverance to push on and breakthrough. Words of discouragement and negativity will cause you to give up and miss out on God’s best. Always encourage and affirm your children as it will build their future. Praise God today that He made us to be the head and not the tail, so use your words to build up and encourage someone today.
