The peace of God can overcome the troubles of the world
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Jn 16:33. World peace is the absence of problems, but God’s peace is His presence dwelling in us. Jesus defeated sin and death at the cross so that we can have eternal life in Him. As we put our faith in Jesus, He fills our innermost being with peace beyond words. Even though everything else may be going wrong, as we keep our eyes on Jesus and not on our problems we can walk through life’s storms without losing our peace. God is always with us, and as He transcends our dimension of time, He is already in our tomorrow, so we never have to worry. We only need to believe and trust that He is making a way, even though we can’t see it yet. Thank Jesus today that He is our peace that will never leave us as we keep our eyes and heart on Him.
