Sometimes we need to deal with our own issues before we can help others
“And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Mat 7:3.There are times we need to take time out to deal with our own issues before we try to help others. What we are struggling with in our own life can influence how we deal with others and sometimes we need to get to the other side ourselves before we can genuinely help others to make the same journey. Dealing openly and honestly with our own struggles an be difficult that maybe better shared than struggled with alone. It’s easier to walk with someone else than to walk alone, and our own breakthroughs will then become a catalyst to encourage others. Praise God today that we are never alone and as we keep our eyes on Him, He will help us deal with our struggles.
