Put your trust in God and not in wealth

The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. Mat 13:22. We must always keep our trust in God. The deception of riches is that some people put themselves on a platform above others as a result of what they own. The reality is that riches does not add to the heart, in fact both riches and poverty expose the heart. Riches can draw people away from God as they put their hope in what they have. Riches in themselves are not the problem, it’s what it can do to your heart. God will trust those with riches who will be willing to lose whatever God gives them as their trust remains in Him, and only God knows what level of wealth could turn our heart away from Him. Praise God today that as we keep our trust in Him, He will meet all of our needs according to His riches in glory. Prayerchair.org
