Pray for your enemies and see what God will do

Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them. Rom 12:14. This is totally contrary to the worlds way of getting even, but as we start praying for those who persecute us, we are casting our burdens onto God and allowing Him to deal with the situation. When we pray for our enemies to be blessed we are declaring that good will triumph over evil and that God’s grace will make a way to change hearts and attitudes towards us and towards God. When we start to pray that God will bless our persecutors, we start to release the pain they have inflicted on us as we put them into God’s care. We should never seek revenge as that belongs to God, He will take care of things. God will lift us up and vindicate us as we seek to walk in His ways. Praise God today that our hope is in Him, and that as we pray for our enemies, God will bring peace, blessing and favour into the situation.
