God wants your heart and not your routine
Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High. Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.” Ps 50:14-15. God wants your heart, not your routine. There is somethIng about acknowledging the goodness of God in the midst of life’s difficulties that connects more deeply with God’s heart than a continual petition for help. God already knows what you need before you ask Him, so thank Him for what He’s done in your past and thank Him for what He will do in your future. Thankfulness involves heartfelt reflection and remembrance, and as we consider His goodness above our needs, His mighty hand will move in our life. Praise God today that as we lift Him up and honour Him with our sacrifices of praise in the midst of life’s storms, He will breakthrough whatever we need to calm the storms in our life to bring us His peace and rest.
