God wants our heart, not our activities or sense of obligation

I want you to show love, not offer sacrifices. I want you to know me more than I want burnt offerings. Hos 6:6. Jesus wants our heart, not our sense of duty, obligation or commitment. We can sometimes get so focussed on the ministry of the Lord that we neglect the Lord of the ministry. He just wants us to love Him, so that as we love Him, and pour ourselves out for Him, He will fill us with His love and His presence. It’s in that place we realise how much we are incredibly loved of God, and it doesn’t matter what anybody says or thinks – as I am in God and He is in me. It’s in that place you discover true peace beyond words and joy no matter what’s going on in your life. Praise God today for loving you, if you’re not as close to Jesus as you once were, ask Him to come into your heart and fill you with His love, ask His forgiveness for drifting away and allow His love to fill you afresh with His peace and joy.
