Don’t let wealth rob your love for Jesus

In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!” Those who heard this said, “Then who in the world can be saved?” Lk 18:25-26. The well to do were revered- if the rich couldn’t be saved then who could be? But 2000 years later perspectives haven’t changed,as people still idolize the rich and famous. But God’s view isn’t based on what is seen, but on what is unseen, it’s based on what motivates people to do what they do, it’s based on the heart, for the heart is the treasure trove from where the issues of life flow, the reactions and responses to others and to Jesus- God’s gift of life to humanity. The problem in Jesus’ day, and today, is that tragically many of the rich and famous reject Jesus to rest in their own. self sufficiency. Thank God for Jesus, His gift of life for us today, that in Him we have a hope and an eternal future.
