Don’t gossip, let love guide your conversations
As surely as a north wind brings rain, so a gossiping tongue causes anger! Pr 25:23. We are told to love on another. Love doesn’t expose the pain of others for conversations sake, or focus on their misfortunes when things go wrong. I have seen gossip ruin good friendships that should never have happened. Gossip has an uncanny way of finding its way back to the subject of discussion. If someone confides in you, deal with then with integrity, and keep their secret. Don’t be like a child who says “-I’ll tell you something if you promise not to tell others”. Love covers a multitude of sins, we all have our own shortcoming, and the last thing any of us need is for our friends to share with others what we have told them in confidence. Praise God today that He understands human nature exactly when Jesus said “you should do to others what you would have them do to you”. Live this way and peace will never leave you.
