Choose your friend wisely, if you’re not influencing them, they’ll be influencing you

“bad company corrupts good character.” 1 Cor 15:33. We are shaped by the people we associate with. If we spend time with critical people, we will also become critical and take on their characteristics. If we are not influencing others then we are being influenced. So its important that we choose our friends wisely and associate with those who will build us up, encourage us and support us. The more time we spend in God’s Word the more we will be transformed into the likeness of Jesus by the renewing of our mind. (Rom 12:2). God created us for relationship with Him and with others, so spend more time with God, in His Word, in prayer and just in daily conversation with Him. Mix with those who will encourage you, then start encouraging others. Thank God today that He has a higher calling for your life that will come forth as you spend time with Him and with those who will build you up and not bring you down.
