Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Mat 5:7. As we show compassion and mercy towards others, we too will experience mercy when we mess up. Jesus showed us mercy and compassion at the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, so we are expected to give of what we’ve been given. This is a revelation of the principal of sowing and reaping in operation, where we are also told not to judge or else we too will be judged. What we sow into the lives of others will come back to us. So when we deal with situations at home or at work, consider your attitude and responses, and what you would like to harvest in your own life before you act. Sow mercy, compassion and love and you will be shown mercy compassion and love. Sow Judgement and unforgiveness and you will be shown the same. We just need to stop and think before we act. Thank Jesus today that He showed us mercy first when we didn’t deserve it.
